We are working with a boutique IP firm in Old Town Alexandria seeking an Associate (1-5 years ideally, but open for consideration more senior) in the firm's chemical and biomedical practice group. Always open to candidates with books of business. Seeking expertise in a broad range of technologies including steel, chemical and pharmaceutical formulations and methods of manufacturing, medical devices and neuroscience technologies.

This practice includes preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications, managing complex patent portfolios, performing validity, infringement and freedom-to-operate analyses, and strategic counseling and due diligence for clients ranging from early-stage start-up ventures to multi-national corporations. The position has argued numerous appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and assists in litigation matters and various post-grant proceedings. Seeking prior professional experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries developing technology solutions. Compensation based on experience.
